David: They don't do any cleaning out of spammers blogs do they? They just sit there giving PageRank to casinos and viagra vendors.
azz:
Oddly, Advogato is one of the few places where I think having accounts only by invitation from an existing user would make sense...
You could try sending raph some mail about it, since he does occasionally prod it, but I don't think he's spending much time on it these days.
David: mmm. On the subject of which - do you know if they've fixed the ranking stuff? I seem to recall that it broke at one point and no matter what certifications one got or gave, ranks stayed the same.
azz: I think that got fixed (it happens periodically).
David:
Ah ha
hmmm.. I seem to have been promoted to Journeyer while I wasn't looking
... and have been ranked as "Master" by rather a lot of accounts that seem to exist only to rank and be ranked ... probably spammers <sigh>
David: 'Responding to a report by UN human rights investigators, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the Cuba camp housed "dangerous terrorists".'
OK, so that makes freeing them a bad idea ...
... tell me again why they shouldn't be put on trial?
What? They might not be found guilty? But then they aren't "dangerous terrorists" then are they?
