It took several attempts for me to parse the headline correctly, since I'd never seen this (Australian) idiom before.
(For reference, "Guernsey: [...] Austral., a coloured shirt worn by Austral. Rules players; so to get (or draw) a guernsey, to be selected (for a team)", says the OED.)
I thought initially that someone was organising a Linux conference in the Channel Islands, which actually strikes me as a reasonably cool idea.
Ahh! So that's what it means. I only looked at the headline and was rather confused.
