That first guideline suggests about forty times as many bulbs as we have on our Christmas tree.
(I'm not convinced we'd even be able to fit 2,400 bulbs on our tree.)
The second guideline is complete junk as it appears in the article. I assume the author heard some advice about replacing individual bulbs in strings and got the wrong end of the cracker.

Do not get your lights from Tesco ...
They had some problems They had some problems last year too ... and in the year before that
