"A budget rocket developed by Elon Musk, the founder of the online payment system PayPal, blasted off into space on Tuesday from a remote island in the South Pacific. The launch, whilst not perfect, bolsters hopes of cheaper vehicles to fly cargo, and eventually people, into space."
I watched the webcast of this live last night -- if you can find a copy it's worth looking at.
They had a camera mounted on the second stage pointing downwards, and had the stream showing it all the way from the ground until it failed. (They cut away once to show stage separation better.)
