... or maybe the regular retail price of DVDs is ... too high!
It'd be pretty hard to devalue the medium any further in the minds of this particular bit of the public, anyway. ;)

That cleaning flud of the disgusting colour and frightening adverts has got a new marketing campaign - blog spamming.
There have been times when I considered buying it before. Not in future.
Yes. One of the blogs I read wasn't very impressed, since they'd spammed him on a moving post about his long-lost father.
It's fraud pure and simple, and they ought to be imprisoned for it.
For reference, I entirely agree with Bill Hicks on the subject of marketing people (not safe for work).
