I don't think this is quite what the author meant to say, though:
"[...] an amalgam of the version recorded for vinyl in 1957 and that recorded for CD at the last performance at the Fortune Theatre, May 2, 1959."
I don't think they were mastering for CD in 1959...
(What he actually means is the version recorded for mono vinyl in 1957, and the version rerecorded for stereo vinyl in 1959. Although the version I've got is a North American mono pressing of the 1959 recording, oddly.)
